Parish Communications Coordinator (St. Patrick's Cathedral [Charlotte, NC]) - 2018-present
Director of Communications for the Cathedral Church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte. My responsibilities include: the weekly bulletin, weekly digital newsletter, parish Web site, social media [Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube], event promotions, event photography and videography, calendar management, and miscellaneous daily communications.

Web and Software Development Consultant (Sarkis Technical Services [Rochester, NY/Charlotte, NC) - 2008 to Present

SoHo Yogurt Cafe (
  • Analyzed the weaknesses of the company's former Web presence, and then designed, developed, and maintained a significantly improved responsive Web site that regularly garnered positive customer feedback and increased restaurant traffic. Web site created using HTML, PHP, JavaScript, and JQuery.
  • Ensured that the Web presence was kept up-to-date concerning hours of operation, menu offerings, and product specials.
Sarkis Printing & Bindery Services (
  • Engineered the printing company's transition into the digital age to remain competitive in the marketplace and increase annual sales, designed and developed a responsive Web presence, set up an e-mail server, and routinely processed incoming digital files for print. Handled all electronic communications, quoting, and invoicing.
Citation Wizard (
  • Developed a utility for students and writers to automate the generation of bibliographies according to MLA style specifications, eliminating the need to consult style manuals. Citation Wizard has been endorsed by multiple academic institutions ranging from public schools to major universities. Responsive Web site created using HTML, PHP, and JavaScript. Desktop application written in C#.
Rochester Churches (
  • Produced an online encyclopedia documenting all of the churches to ever exist within the geographic boundaries of the Diocese of Rochester. Contains over 250 entries and original photography for approximately 240 extant churches. This historical resource is widely utilized by diocesan employees, as well as individual parish churches. Web site created using HTML, PHP, JavaScript, and JQuery.
  • Created a database application for a vinyl record store to catalog their inventory, replacing their previously inefficient method of maintaining several Excel spreadsheets. Web-based application created using HTML, ASP.NET, C#, and MS SQL Server. Desktop application created using C# and MySQL.
